Both the Secondary Technical School and Higher Technical School are state-funded schools that provide general education as well as education in specialized fields of study, primarily focusing on various medical professions. Furthermore, the Secondary Technical School also offers professional training in fire protection and fire fighting.
The Secondary Technical School is devised as a four-year full-time study programme after the successful completion of which graduates are awarded the Secondary School Leaving Exam (Maturita). Graduates are qualified to apply for studies at institutions of a tertiary level of education.
The Higher Technical School operates on the tertiary level of the education system, providing three-year full-time or distance study programmes. Graduates are awarded the Specialist Diploma in the field of their specialization.
All obligatory internship is contracted with healthcare institutions in Prague as well as in other places throughout the Czech Republic.
