Certified Dental Technician

3-year full-time study programme after the successful completion of which a Specialist Diploma is awarded

Characteristics

Graduates are qualified for making dental dentures in dental laboratories in all types of medical institutions (both state and private). Lessons are held in technical classrooms, school dental laboratories, as well as in medical institutions. The programme is aimed at developing the career of the Certified Dental Technicians. However, the technical knowledge acquired within the study programme can be used also in other fields, such as plastic surgery, otorhinolaryngology, in dental research, production and even relevant trade.

Graduate profile

The graduates are able to apply their acquired knowledge and skills in all cases of dental dentures production:

• making fixed and removable prostheses

• making orthodontic appliances in dentofacilal orthopaedics
• dental technology techniques and materials
• usage of laboratory equipment and instruments, their maintenance
• keeping work safety instructions and health care principles in dental laboratories
• basic theoretical and practical knowledge of economy, finance, legislation, insurance, marketing and management
• precise professional written and verbal communication skills
